Housing Support Coordinator

About the role

The Family Supportive Housing Services Coordinator plays a vital role in assisting individuals and families exiting or at risk of homelessness by providing housing and service coordination. The position involves collaborating with community agencies to offer resources, support life skills, and promote access to permanent housing for clients.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport with clients and manage a caseload of 12-15 clients.
• Conduct assessments and develop Individual Service Plans (ISP).
• Provide participant-centered, harm reduction, and strengths-based support.
• Offer training and referrals on financial empowerment, tenant education, resilience, and recovery.
• Advocate for clients and collaborate with community agencies.

Requirements

• Knowledge of domestic violence and homelessness risk factors.
• Experience working with families and children.
• Commitment to ongoing learning in a supportive environment.
