Responsibilities
- Ensures that all written standards of cleanliness and maintenance are consistently met, by inspections and follow-up.
- Assists with the supervision and on-going training of all Housekeeping Associates.
- Ensures that all designated guestrooms receive service.
- Assists with Lost and Found, including packing and mailing of packages.
- Assists with documenting time and attendance for all Housekeeping associates.
- Ensures furniture, facilities, and equipment are maintained and in good repair.
- Promotes excellent guest/employee rapport by reacting promptly, efficiently and courteously to all guest requests.
- Ensures appropriate standards of conduct, hygiene, uniforms and appearance are maintained.
- Represents the hotel with professionalism and decorum.
- Establish and maintain effective associate relations.
- Ensure discipline is administered timely and fairly with HR involvement.
- Ensure appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, and appearance are maintained.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent, college education in related field preferred.
- Previous housekeeping supervisory experience for at least 2 years.
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload to ensure deadlines are met.
- Ability to exercise judgment and implement control over the performance of others.
- Ability to provide clear direction, instruction, and guidance to subordinates.
- Ability to communicate effectively to associates - Bi-Lingual a plus.
- Understands reports and related correspondence and accurately performs all essential job functions.
