JOB SUMMARY

The Holiday Inn & Suites in Winter Haven, FL is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to lead the housekeeping department and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Interview, hire, complete performance evaluations, resolve problems, administer discipline and/or termination when appropriate
  • Manages the housekeeping department including laundry to attract, retain and motivate staff
  • Ensures compliance with all OSHA standards
  • Plans, organizes, and monitors staff activities to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards
  • Manages finances of housekeeping and laundry operations including budget and inventory controls
  • Distributes and delegates work load to guarantee maximum production and guest satisfaction with minimum outlay of expenses in terms of labor and materials
  • Makes staffing adjustments accordingly
  • Ensures compliance with accident/loss prevention programs
  • Responds to guest requests, concerns, and problems to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Plans and conducts staff meetings, attends various other related meetings

REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2 or more years of hotel housekeeping experience, preferably in a supervisor role
  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent, additional education is a plus

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record – satisfactory criminal background screening required – professional references

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Regularly required to speak, read, and write in English
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to walk, kneel, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This position requires variable hours based on the needs of the hotel including weekends.
