About the role
The Night Auditor at Fairfield Inn by Marriott Downtown SLC is responsible for ensuring the hotel's financial accuracy and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Review and reconcile daily room charges, including processing payments and issuing refunds.
- Ensure all guest accounts are accurately recorded and billed.
- Handle cash transactions, including counting and depositing funds.
- Manage inventory levels and report discrepancies to management.
- Perform nightly room counts and ensure all rooms are properly cleaned and ready for guests.
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues related to their stays.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a customer service or accounting role.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for those who need to drive).
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of hotel operations and procedures.
- Experience with point-of-sale systems.
