The Hospitality Assistant position exists to provide stewardship for all aspects of serving couples through food service and housekeeping.
A $500 Hiring Bonus is available, with $250 paid after 30 days and $250 paid after 6 months of employment, provided the employee is active and in good standing at the time of each payout.
Responsibilities
The Hospitality Assistant will be responsible for food service and housekeeping duties, including:
- Preparing meals from predetermined menus for intensives, getaways, and special events
- Serving, interacting, and being sensitive to the needs of guests and visiting staff
- Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and interior and exterior areas of Hospitality Center daily
- Observing and following all Health Department Codes and maintaining ServSafe food manager certification
- Maintaining exceptional cleanliness of interior and exterior guest lodging spaces, including bedrooms, bathrooms, sitting areas, and patios
- Performing general cleaning tasks, such as dusting furniture, vacuuming, mopping floors, cleaning windows, and stocking amenities
- Doing laundry as needed and being attentive to the condition of the physical property and systems, reporting maintenance concerns to the General Manager
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in food service preparation
- Ability to achieve and maintain Serve Safe Certification and Chemical Training Certification
- Strong customer service and people skills, with the ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Flexibility in adjusting priorities and ability to work independently with little immediate supervision
Qualifications
The successful candidate will exemplify Ephesians 5:1-2 and pursue the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19-20. They will be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintaining a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Focus, and adhering to the Standard of Moral Conduct and Statement of Faith.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $16.65 to $22.00 per hour.

Schedule
Occasional holiday and weekend work is required. The potential employee start date is September 14, 2026.
