Hospitality Assistant

About the role

As a Hospitality Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the health, happiness, and daily experience of the residents at Halcyon House in Washington. Your responsibilities include engaging with residents through light personal care, casual conversations, games, and social activities, helping to create a warm, home-like environment. You'll also assist with housekeeping, laundry, and light grooming tasks that make a real difference in residents’ daily lives. You'll collaborate with nursing and care staff to ensure residents feel respected, clean, and cared for. Opportunities to build meaningful relationships will allow you to be a familiar, friendly face that residents and families come to trust and appreciate.

Responsibilities

• Engage with residents through light personal care, casual conversations, games, and social activities
• Aid in housekeeping, laundry, and light grooming tasks
• Collaborate with nursing and care staff to ensure residents feel respected, clean, and cared for
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families
• Ensure safety by following protective equipment, infection control, and emergency procedures

Qualifications

• Strong respect for seniors’ independence and good communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain privacy
• Basic computer skills and clear English communication
