About the role
Seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for home care services, primarily providing direct patient care in clients' residences.
Responsibilities
- Providing personal hygiene care such as bathing, grooming, and mouth care
- Assisting with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation
- Administering basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision
- Preparing meals considering client preferences and dietary needs
- Offering companionship and engaging in activities tailored to individual interests
- Performing light housekeeping duties and maintaining accurate records
- Monitoring and reporting changes in clients' physical or psychosocial conditions
- Completing tasks using EVV systems and adhering to the care plan
- Upholding patient confidentiality, privacy, and rights, while reporting abuse or neglect
Qualifications and Skills
- Current certification with DFS
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Effective communication skills
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting (~50 lbs), bending, and standing
- Sympathetic attitude toward patient care
This role involves travel within a designated area, performing physical tasks, and working closely with clients and their families to promote independence and well-being.
