Hematology_Generalist

About the role

The Hematology Division of the Department of Oncology at Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine seeks a Clinical Hematologist / Clinical Researcher faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and develop clinical/epidemiologic research and/or clinical trials
• Provide clinical care in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows
• Manage a caseload of patients with thrombosis, bleeding disorders, autoimmune hematologic disorders, complementopathies, hemoglobinopathies, and general nonmalignant hematology
• Work approximately 1 weekend in 8 weeks

Requirements

• M.D. degree
• Board certification in Hematology
• Eligibility for a license to practice medicine in the State of New York

Qualifications

• Experience in managing patients with thrombosis, bleeding disorders, autoimmune hematologic disorders, complementopathies, hemoglobinopathies, and general nonmalignant hematology
• Interest in clinical research and/or clinical trials
• Ability to teach medical students, residents, and fellows
