About the role
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues in an established hematology program to evaluate and treat patients with a range of benign and malignant hematologic conditions. In addition to providing care to local patients, the candidate will participate in an innovative “hub and spoke” model, partnering via telehealth with advance practice oncology providers at more rural sites in the MaineHealth system.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with a range of benign and malignant hematologic conditions

Requirements
- Prior experience in benign and/or malignant hematology within an academic health system is preferred
- Strong candidates in the early stages of their careers will be considered
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board certification in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology
- Experience in benign and/or malignant hematology within an academic health system is preferred
- Strong candidates in the early stages of their careers will be considered
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in telehealth and remote patient care
