Ditch Witch West, the premier capital equipment dealer in the West, is seeking a Journeyman level Field Technician to join their team and serve customers in the Sacramento, CA area. At Pape’, we invest in your growth with robust training programs and continuous support.

About the role

As a Journeyman Field Technician, you will work on heavy trenching and construction equipment at customer locations to ensure that their equipment is running in peak form and maximizing uptime. You will travel the area in a fully loaded Pape’ service vehicle, performing top-notch work on equipment and interacting with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair heavy construction equipment at customer sites.
  • Perform complex repairs and maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Interact with customers and provide reliable service.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience diagnosing and repairing heavy construction equipment.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work under little or no supervision.
  • Excellent communication and customer relation skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (CDL preferred).
  • Must provide own tools.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Pay

$34.48–$48 per hour (depending on experience).
