About the role

Pape’ Machinery, the premier capital equipment dealer in the West, is seeking a Journeyman level Field Technician to join their team in Mt. Vernon. At Pape’, we invest in your growth with robust training programs and continuous support. As a Journeyman Field Technician / Mechanic, you will work on construction and forestry equipment at customer locations to ensure optimal performance and uptime. You’ll travel the area in a fully loaded Pape’ service vehicle, perform high-quality repairs, and interact with customers to deliver reliable service.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair all brands of heavy diesel equipment at customer sites.
  • Maximize equipment uptime and ensure peak performance for customers.
  • Travel to customer locations in a company service vehicle.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing heavy diesel equipment.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Must provide own tools.

Pay

$37.92–$56.89/hour (depending on experience).
