Heavy Duty Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Building and assembling machines or mechanical components according to requirements
• Identifying faults and troubleshooting equipment as required
• Conducting repairs aiming for maximum reliability
• Inspecting machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
• Logging complete work and maintenance through a mobile app and reporting on issues
• Monitoring the mobile app for breakdowns and upcoming maintenance and working with the Superintendent to schedule downtime for equipment

Requirements

• Knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components
• Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints etc.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team to get the job done

Schedule

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• Weekend availability

License/Certification

• Driver's License
• OSHA10 Certification
• Mass DOT Medical Card (Preferred)

Work Location

• Plainville and on the road as needed for urgent repairs in the Massachusetts and Rhode Island areas
