Heavy Duty Mechanic

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on ready-mix trucks and heavy equipment. The role involves conducting preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system issues, and ensuring equipment operates safely and reliably.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair machinery, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems
• Inspect machines, identify malfunctions, and determine necessary repairs
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Operate mobile equipment and perform daily maintenance on service vehicles
• Weld, fabricate, and repair metal parts, and purchase parts as needed
• Provide on-site support at other locations and mentor team members
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of one year truck mechanic experience
• Strong understanding of truck mechanics and maintenance practices
• Proficient with power tools, welders, and safety equipment
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures, software systems, and transmissions preferred
• Effective communication skills in English
• Ability to work collaboratively and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs

Additional Details

• Full-time, field-based position at Kiowa Plant
• Outdoor work exposure to various weather conditions and loud machinery
• Use of PPE required; some travel may be necessary
• Salary starting at $28/hour, depending on experience
