Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on ready-mix trucks and heavy equipment. The role involves conducting preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system issues, and ensuring equipment operates safely and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair machinery, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems
- Inspect machines, identify malfunctions, and determine necessary repairs
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Operate mobile equipment and perform daily maintenance on service vehicles
- Weld, fabricate, and repair metal parts, and purchase parts as needed
- Provide on-site support at other locations and mentor team members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of one year truck mechanic experience
- Strong understanding of truck mechanics and maintenance practices
- Proficient with power tools, welders, and safety equipment
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures, software systems, and transmissions preferred
- Effective communication skills in English
- Ability to work collaboratively and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs
Additional Details
- Full-time, field-based position at Kiowa Plant
- Outdoor work exposure to various weather conditions and loud machinery
- Use of PPE required; some travel may be necessary
- Salary starting at $28/hour, depending on experience
