About the role
Experienced mechanic responsible for maintaining and repairing ready-mix trucks and heavy equipment at a field-based site.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on ready-mix trucks and heavy equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Install and fabricate parts as needed
- Operate mobile equipment
- Maintain shop organization and cleanliness
- Assist in training team members
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Conduct inspections and troubleshoot systems
- Perform repairs and purchase parts
- Provide on-site support
Requirements
- Minimum one year of truck mechanic experience
- Knowledge of truck mechanics, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Experience with maintenance software
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Experience with concrete mixers and aggregate trucks is preferred
- Capable of manual dexterity and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must provide personal tools and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Successful completion of background and drug tests
