About the role
A hands-on Mechanic responsible for maintaining and repairing ready-mix trucks and heavy equipment at a field-based location.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Install, maintain, and repair machinery, structures, and systems
- Inspect machines, troubleshoot malfunctions, and ensure equipment performance
- Operate service vehicles and provide on-site support at various sites
- Weld, fabricate parts, and purchase repair materials
- Maintain organized work areas and adhere to safety policies
- Mentor team members and assist with other duties as needed
Requirements
- Minimum one year of truck mechanic experience
- Knowledge of truck, concrete mixer, and heavy equipment maintenance
- Proficient with power tools, welders, and maintenance software; experience with specific systems preferred
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, lift up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Willingness to wear PPE and pass safety checks
- High school diploma is advantageous
