About The Role

The Healthcare Administrator manages the daily operations, compliance frameworks, and administrative workflows that keep patient care programs running smoothly. This role sits at the intersection of clinical compliance, financial administration, and operational excellence, ensuring that all policies align with federal and state regulations including HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and state-specific healthcare laws. Working closely with remote clinical teams, billing departments, and product managers, the position is responsible for auditing processes, managing EHR system integrity, and implementing standardized operating procedures. The primary goal is to minimize operational bottlenecks and optimize administrative efficiency to deliver a seamless patient and provider experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day administrative operations of the healthcare delivery platform, ensuring adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and CMS compliance standards.
  • Manage and audit Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to ensure accurate documentation, patient data privacy, and efficient charting workflows.
  • Cook up with billing teams and insurance cleared-houses to resolve claim denials, streamline credentialing, and optimize revenue cycle management.
  • Develop, document, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for non-clinical workflows to improve care delivery turnaround times.
  • Track and report on operational key performance indicators (KPIs) such as patient onboarding times, clinician utilization, and regulatory compliance audit scores.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clinical staff and administrative support to resolve scheduling conflicts and operational bottlenecks.

What We Are Looking For

  • 4-7 years of experience in healthcare administration, clinic operations, or practice management.
  • Deep working knowledge of US healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CMS compliance, and medical billing/coding processes (ICD-10, CPT).
  • Hands-on experience managing and configuring clinical software platforms, specifically EHR/EMR tools and billing software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn operational data into actionable process improvements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Bonus: Professional certification such as Certified Professional Practice Manager (CPPM), Certified Healthcare Administrative Professional (cHAP), or experience in a fast-paced digital health startup environment.
