Job Duties
- Manage all department business and administrative requirements.
- Perform analyses and provide business perspective on all department operations.
- Assist clinicians and other professional, support, and administrative staff in optimizing patient care and clinical processes.
- Monitor and analyze clinical workload, productivity, and staffing requirements to ensure adequate personnel resources.
- Oversee administrative staff in their day-to-day operations as one of the department’s senior administrators.
Qualifications
- One year of specialized experience which includes 1) maintaining departmental operating budgets within a medical treatment facility, 2) assisting with overseeing contract compliance, and 3) managing medical logistics or supply chain workflows.
- Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration.
- A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
Foreign Education
- If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
