About the role
You will be the face of A Place for Mom with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and families in your territory. Your role is to drive lead generation and move-ins to communities from your book of accounts, building relationships with healthcare professionals to help families find the care they need.
Responsibilities
- Work in a fast-paced industry to help families and professional referral sources with seniors urgently needing discharge into a community or home care agency.
- Deliver on your target quota of families selecting a senior care option each month by generating daily qualified patient referrals from assigned accounts.
- Maintain and grow a portfolio of clients (social workers, case managers, discharge planners) in hospitals and skilled nursing centers within your territory.
- Develop and expand your book of accounts to increase referral volume through networking, cold calls, and service presentations.
- Cultivate new contacts within each account, follow up on discharge outcomes, and reinforce the value A Place for Mom delivers.
- Educate families on care options and collaborate with Healthcare Senior Living Advisors to meet target quotas for move-ins or home care hires.
- Leverage and analyze CRM reports to develop and manage your pipeline.
- Pilot new initiatives, tests, and processes (e.g., account scoring, CRM changes) and provide feedback to improve tools and resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of outside sales experience as an individual contributor with exceptional prospecting and lead generation abilities.
- Knowledge of the senior living industry.
- Hospital/skilled nursing facility sales experience.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and collaborating with teams.
- Relationship-driven with a strategic mindset and experience overcoming objections.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, independent environment with a willingness to test new processes.
- Hungry to learn, improve, and compete.
- Expected to travel daily to accounts in your territory during the 5-day business week (local travel).
- Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Effective time management skills.
- Technologically proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, and CRM (Salesforce preferred).
Schedule
You will be in the field daily, working with your Regional Director to build and execute your account plan. Your time will include scheduled presentations, calls, and impromptu drop-ins to meet with case managers, discharge planners, doctors, and patients.
Pay
- Base Salary: $80,000
- On Target Earnings: $115,000+ (uncapped)
