Job Summary
The Medication Access Coordinator within the Health System plays a vital role in facilitating patients' access to various financial resources for medications. This responsibility involves evaluating the financial circumstances of uninsured or under-insured patients, ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance, and upholding patient confidentiality and dignity. The coordinator determines eligibility for medication assistance or any available financial aid, collaborating closely with the Clinical Team to optimize the organization's efforts in mitigating unnecessary financial losses linked to high-cost medications. In addition, the coordinator acts as a patient advocate in resolving issues related to medication payment and coverage.
