About the Venue
The Fort Smith Convention Center/Arc Best Performing Arts Center offers 116,800 square feet of usable, infinitely flexible event space including 40,000 sq. ft. Exhibit Hall, 8 Meeting Rooms and over 3,000 sq. ft. of pre-function space. The ArcBest PAC boasts a 1,331-seat state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center just steps from historic downtown Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Responsibilities
- Prepare your assigned area for guests; looking for potential hazards, reporting any issues to a supervisor
- When doors open, welcome our guests with a great smile and helpful attitude
- Scan event tickets ensuring that the proper ticket is being used to gain entry
- Aid guests in locating their ticketed seats, event room
- Be alert and proactive to potential hazards and reporting incidents when they occur
- Maintain your assigned area for issues and opportunities to make lasting memories for our fans
- Respond to all guest concerns/complaints promptly and in a professional manner
- Aid guests in ADA accessible seating sections
- Enforce all building policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all guests
- Manage the foot traffic flow of large crowds
- Bag checks at entry
- Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Be knowledgeable about arena emergency evacuation plan in order to safely assist guests during the unlikely event of an emergency
Qualifications
- Experience in a hospitality or entertainment environment is preferred
- You must love working with and helping people
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- You must be able to maintain a POSITIVE attitude while handling difficult situations
- Flexible schedule: Weekend availability is needed
