Growth Strategy & Operations Lead
Growth Strategy & Operations Lead
This demanding and multi-faceted role requires a unique blend of strategy, operations, and analytics.
- Drive critical growth projects that expand and improve the expert supply available for Scale’s highest-priority AI projects, collaborating closely with Engineering, Operations, Go-to-Market, and project delivery teams.
- Develop and enhance growth strategies, funnels, and pipelines for acquiring expert contributors through channels such as outbound, referrals, hackathons, partnerships, paid acquisition, and professional communities.
- Improve onboarding, screening, verification, and training systems so that experts can be evaluated, activated, and ramped onto customer projects quickly and reliably.
- Manage supply-side operations across the contributor lifecycle, including activation, retention, churn mitigation, skill/profile validation, and routing contributors to the most relevant projects.
- Build analytical systems and operating rhythms to forecast capacity needs, diagnose funnel bottlenecks, and ensure projects ramp enough qualified experts to meet delivery timelines.
- Present regular progress updates to Scale’s executive team, translating supply health, ramp progress, and growth initiatives into clear recommendations and decisions.
- Tackle some of the most pressing growth challenges in AI expert marketplaces, setting new standards for how Scale sources and manages the talent required to train frontier AI models.
Ideally, you’d have:
- 5+ years of experience on growth, product, or operations, or as a SWE.
- Prior experience with operations-heavy business models (e.g. on-demand, marketplace, logistics, supply chain).
- A strong technical background (a degree in STEM is ideal, and at minimum the role requires the ability to do data analytics using SQL or Python).
- An excellent problem-solving capabilities and a robust analytical approach, with the ability to leverage data to inform growth strategies (experience working on operational challenges or as a consultant is a plus).
- An entrepreneurial spirit, comfortable with navigating ambiguity and scaling new products or services from the ground up.
- Prior experience building with AI tools and workflows - you've tinkered, shipped something, and can quickly pick up new AI tooling as the landscape evolves.
