Group Sales Manager
Job Summary
The Group Sales Manager is responsible for generating group sales revenue through proactive sales activities, including solicitation, networking, and relationship development. This role manages group bookings, coordinates with internal departments to ensure successful events, and develops sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue goals while maintaining client satisfaction.
Essential Functions and Duties
- Possess strong communication and negotiation skills, with experience in managing client relationships.
- Design and execute marketing promotions and campaigns, including direct mail, social media, and ads.
- Maintain an active list of accounts to ensure continuous relationship development and repeat business.
- Develop and implement focused, aggressive action plans to drive group sales.
- Communicate with internal business partners regarding upcoming group needs, VIP clients, and meeting functions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies.
- Ensure high standards of personal appearance and grooming, adhering to company dress code.
- Attend sales meetings and collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals.
Required Experience, Education, and Skills
- A minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible management experience in Group Sales.
- OR a 4-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field with 5 years of sales experience.
- Proficiency in creating and executing marketing campaigns, including digital and direct mail promotions.
- Experience with SalesPro or similar CRM systems is preferred.
- Ability to analyze market trends and competitor activity to develop sales strategies.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, while taking initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment
- Primarily indoor office work with occasional travel for sales calls, events, and client meetings.
