Group Leader - Pheresis

About the role

This position involves performing pheresis procedures and plasma collections, educating new donors, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs pheresis procedures and plasma collections in compliance with SOPs and FDA guidelines.
• Evaluates vein performance and adjusts donation process to ensure efficiency and donor safety.
• Trains and guides donor floor staff and other staff members.
• Maintains accurate donor data and records.
• Supports center management by providing input into staff scheduling and resolving minor issues.
• Ensures the cleanliness and availability of operating supplies.
• May troubleshoot equipment failures and maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
• Supports the implementation of hyper immune programs if applicable.

Requirements

• Minimum 18 months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Specialized medical or phlebotomy training preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Bilingual skills may be required, at the discretion of the organization.

• Manual dexterity for tasks involving reaching, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Frequent exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and bloodborne pathogens.
• Wears Personal Protective Equipment as required.
• Works overtime and extended hours to support center operational needs.

Pay

$22.31 - $24.36 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time position.
