About the role
The Group Facilitator is responsible for facilitating groups at the outpatient level of care (PHP & IOP). The Group Facilitator participates in de-escalation or crisis intervention when necessary and communicates pertinent information to the primary treatment team as needed.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Program Director and/or Clinical Director and other professional staff to help develop a comprehensive program of therapy, evaluation, and treatment.
- Facilitate groups, workshops, and educational groups as directed by the program schedule.
- Complete all group notes immediately after each group and document all services provided in patients' medical records.
- Adhere to company policy and procedures, Joint Commission standards, and all regulations and documentation requirements regarding patient care and compliance.
- Assess suicidality and the possibility of danger to self or others.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients as needed.
- Attend meals and model appropriate eating behaviors with patients, as assigned.
- Travel to other facilities to attend trainings, as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred
- May be working toward a Masters degree to become a therapist
- Understand the therapeutic process, confidentiality laws, and professional ethics
- Submit to post-offer physical examination/medical history check and TB test
- Valid CA driver's license and liability insurance if driving a personal vehicle on company property
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay
$25–$27 per hour
