Group Facilitator

About the role
The Group Facilitator is responsible for delivering RCA’s Substance Abuse curriculum to patients in residential and IOP recovery programs, as well as supervising A&D trainee status staff. The curriculum and training will be provided to ensure quality and consistency. The role includes facilitating 15–20 one-hour groups per week, providing supervision to trainee staff, and attending assigned staff meetings and trainings.
Responsibilities
- Deliver groups professionally and effectively to meet learning objectives.
- Provide one hour of supervision and training weekly to A&D Trainee status employees.
- Engage with the recovery community in a culturally competent manner, both in and outside group settings.
- Complete group notes and all required paperwork.
- Document supervision and conduct monthly group observations for each trainee.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience, preferably in a residential setting.
- New Jersey CADC or higher licensure required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing tasks.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
RCA is a recovery-friendly workplace. Former patients may not be hired at the same location where they were treated until at least one year has elapsed since completing treatment. Former patients may be considered for employment at other RCA locations within a year after treatment.
