About the role
The Government Investigations & White Collar Practice Group at Nixon Peabody is seeking to hire an associate to join our Long Island, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Counseling, investigating, defending, and litigating all forms of government inquiry
- Managing matters from the investigation and grand jury stages through trial and, if necessary, appeal and collateral proceedings
- Providing comprehensive services to individuals and organizations that receive civil investigative demands, subpoenas, or any other requests for information from federal prosecutors, state prosecutors or investigative agencies
Requirements
- Three to five years of relevant experience in government investigations, criminal defense, and/or civil litigation
- Strong writing and analytical skills
- Completed a federal clerkship
- Demonstrated written advocacy experience in the defense of government investigations, government enforcement litigation and related complex civil fraud litigation
