About the role
The Government Investigations & White Collar Defense Practice Group at Nixon Peabody is seeking to hire an associate to join our Providence, RI office.
Responsibilities
- Counseling, investigating, defending, and litigating all forms of government inquiry
- Managing matters from the investigation and grand jury stages through trial and, if necessary, appeal and collateral proceedings
- Providing comprehensive services to individuals and organizations that receive civil investigative demands, subpoenas, or any other requests for information from federal prosecutors, state prosecutors or investigative agencies
Requirements
- Two to four years of relevant experience
- Strong writing and analytical skills
- Completed a clerkship
- Demonstrated written advocacy experience in the defense of government investigations, government enforcement litigation and related complex civil fraud litigation
Qualifications
- Strong academic credentials
- Superb judgment and communication skills
- A commitment to providing excellent client services
Skills
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Experience in government investigations and white-collar defense
- Ability to manage complex cases from inception to resolution
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Benefits
In addition to a standard benefits package, this role may be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on an array of factors, including but not limited to: work performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and qualifications.
Pay
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $145,000 to $180,000 in Providence, RI.
