About the role

The Government Investigations and White-Collar Defense Practice Group at Nixon Peabody is seeking to hire an associate to join our Boston, MA or Washington, DC office.

Responsibilities

  • Counseling, investigating, defending, and litigating all forms of government inquiry.
  • Nationwide representation from investigation and grand jury stages through trial and appeal.
  • Providing comprehensive services to individuals and organizations receiving civil investigative demands, subpoenas, or other requests for information from federal, state, or investigative agencies.

Requirements

  • Two to four years of relevant experience.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills.
  • Government investigations experience in life sciences matters, including the False Claims Act, the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, and the Anti-Kickback Statute.
  • Demonstrated written advocacy experience in the defense of government investigations, government enforcement litigation, and related complex civil fraud litigation.
  • Massachusetts State Bar admission or Washington, DC bar admission required.
  • Strong academic credentials, superb judgment, and communication skills.
  • A commitment to providing excellent client services.

Benefits

In addition to a standard benefits package, this role may be eligible for additional contingent compensation based on various factors including work performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and qualifications. Nixon Peabody’s good faith estimate of the annual salary for the position at the time of this posting ranges from $225,000 to $275,000 in Boston, MA and Washington, DC.

Pay

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is as follows: Boston, MA: $225,000 to $275,000 Washington, DC: $225,000 to $275,000

Full-time positions available in both Boston, MA and Washington, DC.
