About the role
A leading law firm is seeking a 2nd–3rd year Associate to join its White Collar Defense, Government Enforcement & Investigations practice in New York. This is an excellent opportunity to work across sophisticated white collar matters, government investigations, cross-border investigations and complex commercial litigation. The successful candidate will gain exposure to all phases of litigation and investigations, with meaningful responsibility and direct client interaction within a highly collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in white collar defense and government enforcement matters
- Assist with internal and government investigations
- Work on sanctions and cross-border investigation matters
- Conduct sophisticated legal research and analysis
- Draft motions, briefs and other substantive litigation documents
- Manage and assist with all phases of discovery
- Support complex commercial litigation and appellate matters
- Assist with case and investigative strategy
- Communicate directly with clients throughout matters
- Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys
Who You Are
- 2–3 years of relevant law firm experience
- Experience in white collar defense, government enforcement and investigations, sanctions and/or cross-border investigations
- Experience across multiple phases of litigation
- Strong legal research and drafting skills
- Excellent academic credentials
- Strong writing, communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable managing multiple matters simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to client service
- Collaborative, intellectually curious and interested in developing across a broad range of litigation matters
- Eligible to practice in New York
Compensation
Salary Range: $235,000 – $260,000 (DOE)
