Investigations and White Collar Defense Associate (Mid-level)

Venable LLP’s Investigations and White Collar Defense Group seeks a mid-level associate with three to six years of experience to join the team in the New York office.

About the role

The ideal candidate will have experience in white collar defense, investigations, and related areas. They should be able to handle complex matters and work collaboratively with other attorneys and clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the investigation and defense of corporate clients facing allegations of fraud, corruption, and other white-collar crimes.
• Prepare and present legal arguments and evidence in court and before regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with colleagues on cross-border and multi-jurisdictional matters.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on compliance issues and risk management strategies.

Requirements

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum of three to six years of relevant legal experience.
• Strong academic record and excellent writing and research skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
