About the role

The Service Delivery Center is made up of high-performing, US-based resources who work closely with our experienced professionals to deliver project-based work and managed services to our federal clients. The Service Delivery Center is a core component of the Government & Public Sector practice (GPS). Our Digital Engineering practice is helping organizations solve complex problems through purpose-led transformation. You will join a talented group of professionals who are advising U.S. government agencies with digital strategy, customer experience, process improvement, technology effectiveness, digital architecture and program integration.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with clients to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring that the final product meets their needs
  • Designing and developing user interfaces that are not only functional but also enhance user experience
  • Writing clean, maintainable code and creating specifications that support business objectives
  • Actively participating in the design of software components
  • Using experience to help translate requirements into technical design and tasks
  • Interacting and communicating effectively with teammates, clients, stakeholders, and executives
  • Assisting with providing estimates on assigned tasks
  • Independently writing quality code that is simple, reliable, and scalable
  • Analyzing and fixing moderate to complex problems during development and support
  • Documenting and communicating results appropriately
  • Participating in white-boarding sessions and impact analysis and exploring methods and tools to improve the overall development process
  • Learning new client information quickly, and translating data modeling, process modeling, and revision control systems
  • Supporting people-related initiatives, including recruiting events and interview nights
  • Participating in internal, firm activities, including training programs and courses to stay current on training requirements and continuously improve technical skills
  • Understanding and following all workplace policies and procedures, including all applicable Independence policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Extensive knowledge of C#, SQL, JavaScript, HTML
  • Experience with JavaScript UI frameworks such as React or Angular
  • Experience integrating with external systems
  • Comfortable working in-person as needed/hybrid
  • Willing to travel 20 – 30% or more based on client and project needs

Pay

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $67,000 to $136,800. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $80,300 to $155,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.

Schedule

Team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
