Global Director of BSS Downstream Filtration
About the role
We are seeking a Global Director to join our growing Bioprocess Sales team. You will play a key role in leading and developing a global downstream filtration sales team, working on cutting-edge projects in a collaborative environment. This position focuses on driving sales and profitability for downstream filtration technologies, including TangenX® flat-sheet cassettes, Spectrum® Hollow Fiber modules, and benchtop/pilot scale TFF systems, as well as the OPUS platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Bioprocess Sales Specialists and territory managers to meet or exceed sales and profitability targets for downstream filtration technologies.
- Drive and build strategic plans to create opportunities for downstream filtration solutions.
- Develop and execute a global management plan in close collaboration with Bioprocess Sales Specialists, Regional Sales Directors, and Global BSS Leaders.
- Conduct sales negotiations with technical and planning teams.
- Establish and maintain strategic key account relationships.
- Develop new target accounts across the territory.
- Support customers as they move through the clinical pipeline from lab-scale to full process scale solutions.
- Provide accurate and timely sales reporting and forecasting using a market-leading CRM tool.
- Act as the customer and market advocate to the internal organization.
- Interface with Business and Market Development to ensure accurate and timely sharing of product, market, and competitive information.
Requirements
- A minimum of a BSc degree in a relevant scientific subject.
- 5-10+ years of experience in people leadership within the biopharmaceutical or life science industries.
- Strong understanding of filtration, chromatography, and the entire bioprocessing workflow.
- Proven track record of successful sales and new business development.
- Ability to build mutually beneficial, trusting relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners.
- Knowledge of chromatography is required.

Pay
The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America, is $178,000–$230,000. Compensation decisions depend on several factors, including an individual’s qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission), and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
