About the Role

The Geriatrician serves as the attending physician for geriatric and other patients across multiple clinical venues, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary care team including specialists, nurse practitioners, therapists, and nursing staff.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive medical examinations, diagnoses, and treatments for long-term, post-acute, and outpatient care patients.
  • Prescribe medications and refer to specialists as needed.
  • Coordinate patient care activities and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Participate in quality improvement, health promotion, and educational programs.
  • Supervise medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Contribute to clinical teaching activities linked to a medical school fellowship.

Requirements

  • MD or DO with internal medicine or family practice training.
  • Valid medical licensure.
  • Certification in internal or family medicine.
  • Geriatric medicine specialization preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience caring for seniors in various settings.
  • Proficiency in inpatient care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
