Geriatric Specialist (N)

The Geriatrician serves as the attending physician for geriatric and other patients within multiple clinical settings, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team including specialists, nurses, therapists, and care staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical evaluations, diagnose conditions, and prescribe medications
• Coordinate patient care across clinical settings
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows
• Participate in quality improvement activities and patient health promotion programs
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety standards
• Meet productivity benchmarks

Requirements

• MD or DO with internal medicine or family practice training
• Valid medical license
• Board certification in internal medicine or family practice
• Geriatric medicine certification preferred
• Experience in senior care, inpatient settings, and team supervision
