Geriatric Psychiatry RN (Full-Time, Night Shift)

Role Overview

Provides direct patient care for adults aged 50+ in a supportive behavioral health setting, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs.
• Participate in activities ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families, ensuring clear communication across the continuum of care.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.
• Maintain safety-sensitive standards, working alertly and safely at all times.

Qualifications & Skills

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• RN licensure required; no prior experience necessary, though two years of experience is preferred.
• Basic understanding of patient safety, care planning, and cultural competence.
