Geriatric Psychiatric Nurse (Full-Time, Night Shift)

About the role

Provides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family-centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and families on managing illness, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with goals in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family.
• Assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
• Works safely and maintains alertness, as this is a safety-sensitive position.

Requirements

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Current RN license.
• No experience required; less than 2 years preferred.
