About the role
The General Manager of Operations at POD 5 in Chandler, AZ, plays a crucial part in ensuring our communities run smoothly and provide exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Handle maintenance repairs and contribute to the upkeep of the community.
- Provide five-star service to residents, fostering a home-like environment.
- Lead and motivate the team to achieve operational excellence.
- Develop and execute business strategies and plans.
- Manage on-site team through training, motivation, and development programs.
- Build and develop relationships with key business partners, clients, and residents.
- Participate in daily meetings to ensure operational efficiencies and interdepartmental communication.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends and recommend strategies for improvement.
- Collaborate with the owners to identify community goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain leasing goals and effective lease expiration programs.
- Prepare and convey operational and financial data to the Managing Director.
- Maintain product knowledge of Mark-Taylor communities and market conditions for competitor communities.
- Oversee property management and preventative maintenance programs.
- Create and manage staffing schedules to meet community needs.
- Ensure compliance with all company and regulatory standards and operating procedures.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years of experience as a Community Manager in luxury residential property management.
- Previous experience as a Multi-Site Community Manager preferred.
- A strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- A valid AZ real estate license obtained within 90 days of assuming the role.
- Proven experience overseeing daily operations, improving processes, and implementing strategic initiatives across multiple communities.
- A strong ability to lead, coach, and develop onsite teams across sites while driving accountability, collaboration, and a high standard of customer service.
- A proven track record of developing and executing business strategies and plans.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with employees, stakeholders, and customers.
- The ability to analyze complex data, make informed decisions, and solve problems.
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service and understanding customer needs.
- A strong attention to detail and sales ability.
- A thorough understanding of OSHA laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Computer literacy with capability in PMS software, MS Office, and related communication tools.
- A degree in a relevant field is preferred, but not required.
