General Manager 2 - Environmental Services / Custodial

Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 2 Environmental Services / Custodial for Tug Valley ARH Hospital in Williamson, KY. The hospital is part of the Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH), a not-for-profit health system operating 14 hospitals. ARH is the largest provider of care, the single largest employer in southeastern Kentucky, and the third-largest private employer in southern West Virginia. This position will report to the Client Executive 1 and lead a team of 21 frontline housekeepers.

About the Role

In this essential leadership role, you’ll guide environmental services operations to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. You’ll manage day-to-day performance, oversee budgets, and champion safety while inspiring your team to meet and exceed service expectations. Accountable for managing people, setting direction, and deploying resources, including performance evaluations, pay reviews, and hire/fire decisions. Results are achieved through the work of others, relying on your ability to influence and negotiate across the organization. Progression reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business knowledge, and leadership capabilities. Responsible for business, functional, or operational areas, processes, or programs, which may include dotted-line or matrixed management.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental services operations to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
• Manage day-to-day performance, budgets, and safety initiatives.
• Inspire and develop a team of 21 frontline housekeepers to meet service expectations.
• Oversee performance evaluations, pay reviews, and hiring/firing decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational performance metrics.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading custodial or environmental services teams in a fast-paced setting.
• Leadership presence with a focus on team development, engagement, and retention.
• Solid understanding of budgeting, resource planning, and operational performance metrics.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in facilities or healthcare environments.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of management experience.
• 5 years of related experience.

Pay

Pay Range: $58,055 – $75,130 per year. Incentive Eligibility: Eligible to participate in Sodexo's incentive plan and earn variable compensation in addition to base salary.
