General Manager 3 - Environmental Services / Custodial

Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services General Manager 3 for Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, a 357-bed, not-for-profit community hospital and trauma center in Valencia, California.

About the role

In this essential leadership role, you’ll be responsible for guiding environmental services operations to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. You’ll manage day-to-day performance, oversee budgets, and champion safety while inspiring your team to meet and exceed service expectations. Accountable for managing people, setting direction, and deploying resources; responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews, and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and depend on your ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. Progression reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and leadership capabilities. Accountable for business, functional, or operational areas, which may include dotted-line or matrixed management.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading custodial or environmental services teams in a fast-paced setting
• Leadership presence with a focus on team development, engagement, and retention
• Solid understanding of budgeting, resource planning, and operational performance metrics
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in facilities or healthcare environments
• Proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and service delivery
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5 years of management experience
• 5 years of related experience

Pay

Pay range: $89,250 – $115,500 per year. Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. Salary offers are based on specific criteria such as experience, skills, education, and training.
