General Hematologist

About the role

The MaineHealth Cancer Care is seeking a Hematologist to join the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at its Brunswick location. The MaineHealth Brunswick Practice is located in Brunswick, Maine, a family-friendly town that is the home of Bowdoin College and is situated on the scenic coastline of Casco Bay.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with a range of benign and malignant hematologic conditions
• Work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues in an established hematology/oncology practice affiliated with MidCoast Hospital, an integral part of the MaineHealth Cancer Care Network
• Participate in system-wide multidisciplinary subspecialty tumor boards
• Offer a 1-day/week subspecialty clinic at the primary MaineHealth Cancer Center campus in Scarborough/Portland for candidates with subspecialty interest

Requirements

• Prior experience in oncology within an academic health system or academically oriented private practice is preferred
• Strong candidates in the early stages of their careers will be considered

Qualifications

• Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.)
• Board certification in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology
• Experience in an academic setting or private practice
