ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• High Dusting: Using a treated high duster, clean surfaces above shoulder height.
• Cleaning the High Duster: Gently brush into service cart.
• Sanitizing / Spot Cleaning: Use germicidal solution to clean surfaces below shoulder height.
• Removing Germs: Clean doorknobs, walls, and windows using proper solutions.
• Bathroom Cleaning: Wipe down surfaces in a specific order, including toilets, soap dispensers, and paper dispensers.
• Emptying and Cleaning Trash Cans: Remove liners, wipe trash cans, and refill as needed.
• Floor Dusting/Vacuuming: Dust mop and vacuum rooms, paying special attention to under furniture and behind doors.
• Grounds Care: Clean outside areas, empty ash urns and trash cans, and clean public areas like hallways and planters.
• Food Court: Clean tables, sanitize, and stack clean trays; empty and clean trash cans.
• Customer Relations and Service: Knock on doors before entering, answer questions courteously, and report issues to supervisor.
• Physical Demands: Perform tasks involving walking, standing, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing, bending, twisting, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, fingering, and overhead reaching.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of basic janitorial operations, methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Effective communication skills with co-workers and supervisors.
• Operate various janitorial equipment.
• Safe work practices and knowledge of toxic and non-toxic chemicals.
