ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• High Dusting: Using a treated high duster, clean surfaces above shoulder height.
• Cleaning the High Duster: Gently brush into service cart.
• Sanitizing/Spot Cleaning: Use germicidal solution to clean surfaces below shoulder height.
• Removing Germs: Clean doorknobs, walls, and windows using proper solutions.
• Bathroom Cleaning: Use germicidal solution to clean toilets, sinks, and other fixtures.
• Trash Can Management: Empty and clean trash cans, refill as needed.
• Floor Dusting/Vacuuming: Dust mop and vacuum rooms, paying special attention to under furniture and in restrooms.
• Outside Grounds Care: Clean sidewalks, flower beds, and curb lines; empty ash urns and trash cans.
• Food Court Cleaning: Clean tables, sanitize, and stack clean trays; empty and clean trash cans.
• Floor Sanitizing: Use germicidal solution to sanitize floors, especially under furniture and behind doors.
• Inspection: Review cleaning steps and visually check furniture placement after completing a room.
• Customer Relations and Service: Knock on doors before entering, answer questions courteously, and report issues to supervisor.
• Other Duties: Perform tasks such as floor care, carpet extraction, and floor waxing as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of basic janitorial operations, methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Communication skills to interact with co-workers and supervisors.
• Operate various janitorial equipment safely and effectively.
• Physical ability to perform tasks including walking, standing, lifting, carrying, operating equipment, and reaching overhead.
