Responsibilities

• Maintains daily cleaning of assigned areas by following the approved hospital cleaning procedures.
• Performs basic housekeeping tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, polishing, dusting, and the cleansing of all designated objects/areas.
• Operates vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, and wall washing equipment as instructed.
• Maintains stock of all housekeeping supplies in assigned areas and keeps housekeeping closets and equipment in good working order.
• Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms upon patient discharge or transfer, including sanitation of patient beds, furniture, and equipment.
• Cleans and maintains refrigerators, stoves, ovens, and other patient and non-patient care equipment.
• Sets up and cleans meeting rooms according to departmental specifications.
• Collects and disposes of all trash and waste as needed.
• Cleans, disinfects, and sanitizes bathroom sinks, floors, and showers (if applicable).
• Fills soap dispensers, paper towel, and tissue dispensers as required.

Requirements

• Ability to read, follow oral and written instructions in English at a level acquired through the completion of elementary school.
• Ability to learn and perform basic housekeeping practices and understand the policies and procedures of the hospital.
• An HS Diploma or completion of GED is preferred.

Qualifications

Pay

$21.05 - $23.70 per hour

Schedule

Full Time (40 hours, Evenings and Rotating Weekends)
