Job Summary
Aids in-store supervision, leading associates and providing exceptional customer service. Functions as part of the Retail Store Leadership Team at Lake Worth Towne Crossing.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Greet and assist guests with merchandise selection and purchases.
- Resolve guest issues effectively.
- Inform supervisor of product, guest, and personnel issues.
- Monitor and approve guest returns according to retail policies.
- Maintain guest service levels; provide feedback as necessary.
- Utilize GUESTS program during interactions with guests and handling returned items.
- Prepare and review supply orders from JAC warehouse; handle other orders through purchasing channels.
- Assist with store opening and closing duties.
- Lead and train associates in all areas of responsibility, emphasizing guest service and sales.
- Coordinate and conduct regular associate training sessions.
- Delegate tasks to associates.
- Participate in inventory processes, including cycle counting, adjustments, and receiving merchandise.
- Notify appropriate retail and corporate entities about inventory issues.
- Attend and assist in conducting store meetings.
- Implement plans to participate in company special events and promotions.
- Develop and conduct team-building activities.
- Monitor product trends and communicate changes to District Manager.
- Operate and train staff on service equipment, including polish motor, handheld polisher, PUK weld equipment, etc.
- Ensure product care services meet/exceed operational standards.
- Perform visual merchandising tasks, such as staging, setup, and maintenance of displays.
- Support store management in maintaining company standards for overall store presentation.
- Process employee purchases in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Ensure company security procedures are followed to protect assets.
- Review and create employee schedules in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Approve store schedules, ensuring they follow operational and budgetary guidelines and meet customer service levels.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Adhere to safety regulations and participate in safety training.
- Report unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel.
- Follow company policies, including attendance guidelines, freedom from harassment, and electronic communication guidelines.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Take on a lead role in the absence of other leadership team members.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster positive working relationships and establish trust and credibility.
- Assist in other areas as assigned by supervisor.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
