Full-Time Patient Accounts Supervisor

About the role

Join a well-established healthcare system in a leadership role overseeing daily billing and third-party collections within the Revenue Cycle. This exempt position drives process improvement for optimal financial outcomes in Patient Accounts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise billing, collections, and follow-up activities
• Act as an escalation point for complex issues
• Analyze productivity, A/R, and quality metrics
• Support staff development, training, and performance management
• Ensure compliance with payer contracts and regulations
• Monitor outside collection agencies and vendor partners
• Participate in payer meetings and departmental initiatives

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Preferably an Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or Accounting
• At least 3 years of patient accounts or hospital billing experience
• Strong knowledge of hospital billing and insurance reimbursement
• Prior supervisory experience preferred
• Effective data analysis and communication skills
• Healthcare Business Insights certification required during onboarding
