Full Time - Night - Respiratory Therapist

About the role

A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as arterial blood gases (ABG), pulmonary function tests (PFTs), ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, and airway maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostics and interpret data (e.g., chest X-rays, ABG, PFTs).
• Assemble, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory equipment.
• Ensure infection control and proper equipment maintenance.
• Provide patient assessments and utilize critical thinking to adapt care to diverse patient needs.
• Engage in safety and quality assurance tasks.
• Enhance patient satisfaction through effective communication.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• NBRC registration.
• At least 6 months of respiratory care experience.

Skills

• Proficiency in respiratory assessment, treatment, and equipment handling.
• Ability to interpret medical data and perform procedures on patients of all ages, including neonates and adults.
