About the Role

A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all ages, performing therapeutic and diagnostic procedures while ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and patient communication.

Responsibilities

  • Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, including ABG, PFTs, ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, and airway maintenance.
  • Assess and treat patients, interpreting CXR, ABG, and PFT data.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain cardiopulmonary equipment such as ventilators, oxygen analyzers, and blood gas analyzers.
  • Conduct cardiopulmonary diagnostics like arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, and pulmonary function studies.
  • Prepare treatment evaluations, perform physical assessments, and utilize critical thinking for patient care decisions.
  • Participate in infection control, safety, and quality assurance tasks, ensuring proper equipment maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Provide excellent patient communication to enhance satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications; NRP and PALS within 1 year of hire.
  • Licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the relevant medical board.
  • Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Preferred at least 6 months of respiratory care experience; new graduates encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in respiratory assessment, treatment, and equipment management.
