About the role
Supports the Clinical Coordinator in delivering high-quality patient care and customer service to internal and external clients.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care, including triage, patient teaching, procedures, and provider call-backs, adhering to regulatory standards.
- Coordinates patient care activities such as hospital admissions, referrals, IV care, and assessments across various departments.
- Creates staffing schedules, manages daily work assignments, assesses workload needs, and adjusts staffing, including authorizing overtime and coordinating coverage.
- Addresses staff performance issues, assists with orientation and training, and provides feedback to leadership.
- Handles complex situations, resolves member concerns, and supports department procedures development.
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in HMO or ambulatory care with patient education focus.
- Experience in IV therapy and wound care is required.
- Valid RN license in relevant states or a compact license, with credentials from multiple states as needed.
- Basic Life Support certification from AHA.
Skills
- Proficiency in clinical software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of clinical systems and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership experience.
- BSN preferred.
