Full-Time Assistant Deli Manager

About the Role

This is a training position to oversee deli department operations, including guest service, merchandising, and sales performance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff to ensure friendly guest service and high performance standards.
• Achieve sales, profit, and shrink targets while maintaining inventory and supplies.
• Operate according to merchandising and operational guidelines.
• Ensure product quality, sanitation, and safety standards are met.
• Provide training, guidance, and feedback to team members.
• Handle product prep, receiving, ordering, stocking, and guest interactions.
• Manage labor budgets and scheduling; perform periodic store announcements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others, supervise, and develop staff.
• Physical ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally, and stand for extended periods.
• Knowledge of deli operations and computer literacy.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Effective guest service and selling skills, with the ability to communicate with management.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
