About the role

As a Front Office Host, you are responsible for the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions. This highly visible role gives opportunity for casual conversation and has a direct impact on creating the guest experience. Other duties may include processing forms of payment and responding to guest inquiries. You'll be the face of Thompson as a Front Office Host.

Responsibilities

• Manage the guest registration process and communicate hotel services and promotions
• Engage in casual conversation to enhance the guest experience
• Process forms of payment and respond to guest inquiries
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor as the face of Thompson Palm Springs

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age (required by California law to handle alcoholic beverages)
• Full availability, including possible overnights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
• Tech-savvy and quick to learn property management systems
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to teamwork
• Ability to stand for extended periods

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and a natural ability to connect with guests and team members
• A strong communicator with excellent problem-solving skills
• Previous hotel or customer service experience preferred, but not required

Pay

The budgeted rate for this role is $22.00 per hour. This is the hourly rate Thompson Palm Springs reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual hourly rates will be based on factors including experience and education.
